Applied Welding Technologies
DESCRIPTION:
This program prepares students for employment as welders and provides
advanced training for persons currently or previously employed in
this occupation. The training includes the use of blueprints or
written specifications. Lab activities include various processes
and techniques of oxacetylene, (OFC) cutting, (SWAW) Arc Welding
(GMAW) MIG Welding, (FCAW) Flux Cored Welding, (GTAW) TIG welding
and Pipe Welding.
PROGRAM COST: In addition to required
tuition fees, textbooks and lab fees for this
program are approximately:
UNIQUE
REQUIREMENTS: The State of Florida requires
students to meet the minimum basic skills
levels prior to program completion. Safety
equipment is required for training. Good physical
condition and good eyesight are helpful.
