DESCRIPTION:
This program prepares the student for Spa, Clinical
and/or self-employment in massage practices with
the primary focus placed on Swedish Massage Therapy.
Training includes, but is not limited to, the introduction
to massage terminology, legal and ethical practices,
HIV/AIDS training, CPR/First Aid training, basic
Anatomy and Physiology, mental and physiological
effects of massage, statutes/rule and regulations
pertaining to State Licensure, and clinical studies
of Swedish Massage Therapy and its related modalities.
Graduate must take the National
State Board of Massage Therapy examination after
exit date and prior to completion of the program.
